GERARD & LYN-Z WAY’S NEW ‘ART’?!

Found on Buzznet, it’s the hot topic at the moment…

This picture featuring the lead singer of the widely popular New Jersey quintet: MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE…GERARD WAY, with his wife— LYN-Z, renacting the infamous scene of former President John.F. Kennedy’s assassination…

Gerard, of course as the deceased president, and Lyn-Z as Jackie O.

This picture is supposedly to be used for Gerard’s upcoming comic—”The Umbrella Academy: Dallas” hardcover version.

However, this picture has sparked off a lot of controversy…People are saying they are offended and shocked by this image. Some say they don’t care about the concept, but are angry at the quality of the picture. ..
and according to the author of the blog on Buzznet, and I quote: ‘It seems like people who aren’t even American are getting upset over this photo and finding themselves speaking for the American people about the subject. In short, it’s creating a whole host of mixed feelings.’

What do you think? Are you shocked? Are you offended? Do you think people who aren’t American citizens shouldn’t have a say in this? Do you have a different arguement entirely, which is why you’re about to comment? Do you even care?

I, personally am not American, I’m from the U.K…all I can say is that I am actually shocked, but that’s it…

MCR Drummer—Bob Bryar’s Tragic Loss…

I’ve just recently learnt a piece of sad news from a friend of mine on Sodahead, from the MCRmy Discussion board, she gave me a link to the news article which I copied and pasted below for your convenience…
I’m sure all MCR fans who go onto the band’s official site regularly, would know of one of the dogs owned by the drummer—Bob Bryar, a German Shepherd mixed called Dixie…according to People.com, Dixie passed away not long after being placed in a self-proclaimed “dog trainer to the stars” and was returned cremated to Bryar…and Bob is suing the dog-trainer for it.

The drummer for the rock band My Chemical Romance is suing a dog trainer after the musician’s beloved German shepherd mix died in the trainer’s care – and was returned in the form of cremated remains, according to court papers.

In a bizarre lawsuit filed in Burbank Superior Court, Bob Bryar alleges breach of contract, fraud, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress against Daniel Schaffer, described in the action as the self-proclaimed “dog trainer to the stars.”

“I don’t even know what happened to my best friend and miss her more than anything in the world,” Bryar tells PEOPLE. “The devastation I feel is beyond words.”

Acting on a referral, Bryar says he spent $7,500 in April to send his dog Dixie – “the most important thing in his life,” according to the lawsuit – to Schaffer’s kennel for intense training to help the emotionally fragile, formerly abused rescue dog adjust to a new dog in the household.

About a week later, after previously telling Bryar that the dog had been “having a blast and partying all day,” Schaffer reported that Dixie was killed when a drunk driver struck the vehicle in which Schaffer was carrying Dixie and other dogs, according to the lawsuit.

Later that evening, “Schaffer called (Bryar) again and informed him that he could not say goodbye to Dixie for she had been ‘cremated due to her condition,’” the lawsuit says. Two days later, the trainer “delivered an urn allegedly containing Dixie’s remains,” the suit says. After Schaffer failed to produce a police report documenting the crash, he changed his story and said Dixie died in her sleep, then changed that story to say she died under other circumstances, the suit says.

Schaffer didn’t return messages seeking comment. No response has yet been filed to Bryar’s lawsuit.

I, personally don’t know what to think about the whole issue, as I am not really sure whether is the dog trainer to be 100% at fault, but one thing I do know for sure is that I feel really sorry for Bob for losing such a best friend.

CONGRATULATION TO GERARD & LYN-Z WAY!!!

We have all been waiting for so long!
Finally, finally, the little Baby Way is here!!!

The My Chemical Romance frontman—Gerard Way and his wife—Lyn-Z (MIndless Self Indulgence) became first-time parents to their first-born child, a baby girl they’ve named BANDIT LEE WAY, on Wednesday (27th May).

A representative for the happy couple tells People.com:
“Bandit Lee Way was born in Los Angeles at 2.57pm and weighs 6 pounds, 5.6 ounces. Everyone is healthy and happy.”

Gerard said he is “very excited” about fatherhood, adding: “I don’t know that I ever thought about having a kid, but then I also didn’t expect to meet Lyn-Z. When I met her I knew she’d be the one person I could have a kid with.”

I hereby wish to say a huge ‘WELL DONE!’ to Lyn-Z for having gone through the process, and a gargantuan ‘CONGRATULATION!’ to the new happy parents!!!

But I must admit that I am a little weird-out by the name—Bandit, for a girl…let alone for a boy!
& I couldn’t help but feel that it’s an unfortunate name…

What’s With all the Ripping Off? Or is it just a Coincidence?

Recently I had been doing some clearing out with the stuff I don’t need anymore and can be given to charities, so practically I was clearing out all the junks…
While tidying and clearing, I came upon a stack of pop magazines (e.g. Top of the Pops, Mizz and Sugar) which my sister didn’t bother to chuck away…deciding to take a break, I started flipping through them (I don’t know what compelled me to do so, as honestly I’m not that big of a pop, rap or hip-hop musics fan, I’m more for rock music…) but I got interested when I realized there were also several interviews with some of my favorite rock bands—Green Day, My Chemical Romance and Lostprophets in the pop magazines…(they were all supposedly ‘exclusive’ interviews with Billie Joe Armstrong, Gerard Way and Ian Watkins…)
However, when I started reading the interviews in my sister’s pop magazines, something clicked in my head, not only because I recognized the interviews from somewhere else before in a bunch of rock-musics magazines such as KERRANG!, Q, NME and Rock Sound and from other online music webs…but also because for some weird reasons, I remembered that the words in the interviews were exactly word for word as the interviews that I’ve read before online and from rock magazines…
So I went to fish out my scrapbooks in which I pasted in the all the magazines cut-outs of my favorite bands (how sad am I, i.,e. the scrapbooks… ), and I then I started comparing the dates the magazines were issued…
Beforehand I already recognized the pictures in the pop-magazines and I knew they were taken by someone else…especially there was this one issue of Sugar Lad-Mag, I recognized instantly the cover photo of Gerard Way which was taken by the professional photographer—Rob Bennett…but the magazine took all the credits and claimed the pictures to be have been taken by one of their own crew…(which I’m already p***ed off about )
Anyway, back to the dates and the interviews comparison, I realized that they (the interviews) were all words for words like as if the words had been copied and pasted from one interview to another. In terms of the dates, I realized the dates the rock magazines were issued, were always way before the dates the pop-magazines (with interviews of Green Day, MCR and Lostpropets in them) were issued.
Now, I started questioning myself, did the pop magazines took clumps and bits of interviews from an assortment of other magazines and then put it all together, and then claiming the credits for themselves, while they are always claiming the interviews to be ‘exclusive’ interviews with the band members? or is it all just a coincidence?
If they are really taking credits for other magazines’ work, are they that ignorant to realize that the fans of the bands would recognize sooner or later the huge flaw that they made???

GREEN DAY DEBATED QUITTING MUSIC

Green Day actually nearly almost disbanded due to their album— “Warning” poor sale…but luckily they are still together, huh?

Rockers GREEN DAY were so disappointed with the reception to their album WARNING they considered splitting up.
The American Idiot hitmakers released five critically acclaimed discs in the 1990s before coming back with their sixth album in 2000.
But Warning only reached number four on the U.S. Billboard chart and, despite being a hit with critics, wasn’t received well by the buying public.
And the band were so deflated after the release, they questioned whether they would continue making music, according to singer Billie Jo Armstrong.
He tells Britain’s Daily Star, “Back then we had to question ourselves deeper than we ever had, investigate how we felt about each other, how we got on each other’s nerves.
“We had to step it up about 10 notches. The interesting thing about that time was we were playing live shows better than we ever had before. But we never had a monumental record.”

Boys Listening to Hannah Montana…Ross Under Fire Again for ‘Gay’ Comment…

If you are from the U.K, you should have probably heard of or know Jonathan Ross, the TV and radio-show hosts and comedian…
Back from his suspension for 12 weeks without pay in October after he and fellow DJ Russell Brand left obscene messages on Sachs’ answerphone, which were broadcast on Radio 2. The two presenters said Brand had slept with the Fawlty Towers actor’s granddaughter, Georgina Baillie, and joked that Sachs might kill himself.
He had just done it again, by making a rather offensive joke on homosexuals…saying that, “If your son asks for a Hannah Montana MP3 player, you might want to already think about putting him down for adoption before he brings his…erm…partner home.”

Jonathan Ross is under fire again after suggesting parents should put their sons up for adoption if they wanted a Hannah Montana MP3 player. Skip related content
A number of listeners complained to the broadcasting watchdog, claiming the comments on his Radio 2 show on Saturday were homophobic.

Ross, 48, was involved in a light-hearted discussion about prizes in a competition themed around the fictional teen pop star when he joked: “If your son asks for a Hannah Montana MP3 player, you might want to already think about putting him down for adoption before he brings his…erm…partner home.”

A spokeswoman for Ofcom was unable to say how many people had complained but said: “We have had complaints. We are assessing those complaints against the broadcasting code.”

Listener Karen Mills told Pink News: “How can these people earn such huge sums of public money to come out with this discriminatory rubbish?

“What would be the message to a young gay man listening to this? Worse still, how might such comments reinforce and support homophobic bullying in the playground?”

Ross has not been far from controversy in the past year, only returning to the airwaves in January after being involved in the Andrew Sachs lewd phone calls row.

If they arrested a girl for swearing, then why don’t they come and try to catch me if they can???

This journal is due to a poll I saw on Sodahead, concerning on how a teenage girl was arrested for saying “Send me a f***ing ambulance” when dialling 911 becuase her dad was having a seizure…

I was very shocked when I learnt what happened…that’s totally ridiculous and absurd! They arrested her just for swearing, then what next? Are they going to start arresting everyone else who swore??? (Wow…then they are going to have a very hard time doing that…)
Why don’t they try and catch me then? I swear too…
Plus, the girl was desperate, her dad was having a seizure for crying out loud…those who arrested her, do they actually think usages of languages is more important than a human life (esp. when hanging by a thread)? Christ…I’d be swearing if I was in her situation… In such desperate situations, everyone is capable to do something impulsive, such as the teen swearing in this case is an impulsion, (I don’t think she would have planned beforehand to swear when dialling 911, right?!)

If the real reason for arresting her was for saying the f-word, then are they going to try illegalize swearing the next? I’d like to see them attempting to do that.

The Californian rockers trio—GREEN DAY will debut a musical based on their hit album AMERICAN IDIOT in September (09).
The band has long been rumoured to be turning their 2004 rock opera disc into a stage production, and the stars have now confirmed the show will premiere at the Berkley Repertory Theatre in California this autumn.
But frontman Billie Joe Armstrong admits the play, directed by Michael Mayer, is a little confusing.
He tells the New York Times, “It doesn’t make a lot of sense, but that’s what I love about it. When people see it, it’s going to be my wildest dream.”
